Our Story

Faye’s House was founded by Kim Sermon to honor the compassion and strength of Belinda Faye and Vernia Mims. Their legacy of helping others is the heart of Faye’s House — a place built on dignity, care, and new beginnings.

Faye’s House was created in honor of Belinda Faye, a woman whose kindness and generosity touched everyone she met. She believed in helping others find rest, renewal, and new beginnings — a value first instilled by her mother, Vernia Mims.
What began as one woman’s open door has grown into a mission of compassion and structure. Today, under the guidance of Kim Sermon, Faye’s House provides clean, safe, and supportive housing for individuals seeking stability and a second chance.
At Faye’s House, we believe that respect, order, and care can change lives — one room, one person, one new beginning at a time.

Building Stability Through Compassion and Structure

At Faye’s House, our story continues through the people we welcome each day. Guided by the legacy that inspired our beginning, we remain dedicated to creating a safe, structured, and caring environment where individuals can rebuild with dignity and confidence.

A Simple Three-Step Approach

At Faye’s House, our story isn’t just about where we came from — it’s about how we help each person move forward. Our approach is built around three simple steps that guide every resident toward stability and renewal.

01

Understand

We take the time to listen and learn each person’s story, needs, and challenges. Understanding comes first — because every journey is unique.

02

Support

Through structure, safety, and compassion, we provide the environment residents need to feel grounded and respected as they rebuild.

03

Empower

Our goal is to help each individual regain confidence, find stability, and embrace a new beginning with dignity.
